windRose can be installed in two different ways: by directly connecting your palm device to the internet and downloading it ("Over the air"), or by first getting the installation files on your desktop and later uploading it to your palm device (by means of cable connection, bluetooth or a memory card).

Installation "over the air"
You should connect your palm device to the internet and browse to:

Installation by direct copy

At the end of the installation, windRose should appear in the list of your applications.
Upgrading from previous releases on Palm/Treo devices: you just need to select the windRose from the list of installed midlets of the virtual machine, then select the "update" menu. If your device crashes or resets (this is due to a bug in the VM), please delete the old version and proceed with a new installation.
Since the current release of windRose is not signed, you will be often prompted for some permissions every time you run it. To avoid his annoyance, configure your palm decice to grant to windRose the requires permissions. For instance, on the Treo 650:
- Run the IBM Java runtime
- Select windRose in the list of Midlets
- Select the "Menu / Permissions"
- Select "File Read" and grant the "Always allowed...." permissions.
- Repeat the previous step for the permissions: "File Write" and "HTTP".
