Weather conditions
It is possible to overlay the current weather conditions on maps, thanks to a free service provided by GeoNames.org. When you are in the map viewer, just press the "0" button on the keyboard of the palm device - this will cause windRose to download weather data for a sector wide 2 degrees in latitude and 2 degrees in longitude centered at your current position. Pressing again "0" will toggle on and off the weather conditions and eventually reload them from the internet (in any case, they will be kept in cache for at least 15 minutes).

- PY: spray
- DU: widespread dust
- SQ: squall
- SS: sandstorm
- DS: duststorm
- PO: well developed dust/sand whirls

- +FC: tornado/waterspout
- the cloud observation with a METAR code:

The amount of available information depends on the contacted weather station.
